join me for my first giveaway!
Dec 3rd, 2008 by S. Anderson
A few weeks ago, I hit 100 blog posts. Now, this isn’t an amazing feat for many, particularly since I have been blogging for three years, but I wanted to celebrate somehow anyway. However, life got busy, and I didn’t really make the time to do anything when it came time, so I just kinda decided that I would wait to the next milestone. And then, Sew, Mama, Sew! posted about a blogosphere-wide giveaway, so I thought that I would play along. But, I wasn’t really sure what to give away.
During this time, I read about Ali Edwards fun holiday projects from 2007, and I really loved the button Christmas tree that she made with her son, so I decided to make a button tree of my own with the amazing new Basic Grey buttons I got. This was a big step for me because when I love something as much as I love these buttons, I usually just hoard it away afraid to use it. But, when I saw that tree, I knew it would be perfect. I didn’t want to use styrofoam, so I went to Hobby Lobby and found a craft paper version of a Christmas tree..you really do have to love Hobby Lobby…and, I went to town with a little paint and some of those buttons! This is what I came up with.
And, I have to say that I love it! And, I know someone else will love it too, so I have decided to have it be my giveaway (don’t worry, I got another tree to make me one too!). Without measuring at all, I can tell you that it is between 12-18 inches tall. And, I think there are a few vintage buttons thrown in there too.
To enter, just leave a comment here about your favorite handmade holiday treasure, either given or received, or a handmade gift that you would like to receive or give. To make things a little more interesting, if you mention this giveaway on your blog and drop me a note about your post in the comments, you will get an additional 5 chances to win.
The winner will be chosen randomly by my random number generator, the boy, and, you must have your entry in by this Sunday at 7pm CST to be entered into whatever crazy formula he works up (he is an engineering/math person, so there is no telling what he will come up with!).
As an added bonus, the winner will also receive another handmade goody from me made from these.
That’s all I can reveal right now, basically because I haven’t had a chance to make it yet, but the plans in my brain are fabulous!
Happy entries, good luck, and thanks for stopping by!

What a nice giveaway! I’d love to be entered!
Thank you for this giveaway!
The Christmas Tree with buttons looks great! What a nice idea! I hope I win.
Love from France.
Thanks for the wonderful giveaway. The tree is so cute and I can’t wait to see what is in store with the fabric.
New visitor here! Thanks for the chance to win!
My favorite treasure is the advent calendar my mom made me.
Love the Christmas Tree. My family will not be home for Christmas this year so I wasn’t planning on decorating but this tree would be perfect! My favorite handmade ornaments are the ones my children made years ago…they are 28 and 29!
My favourite handmade present – a tricky one! My mum and sister are both very crafty, and have made me some beautiful things over the years. My sister’s button necklace and button-covered bag (how appropriate!) have earned me a lot of compliments over the years, and the wonderful socks my mum has made, the dresses she’s sewn and even the toys she created for me have been really special.
What at cute tree! And I love the fabric!
Thanks for the chance to win your great giveaway. I love all the things my son made for me in elementary school.
COOL! I was touched when my mum made for me a little bag to carry my books in..
Thanks for the chance!
I loved a pouch my friend crocheted for me when i was a little kid. Imagine! A little kid giving another kid a gift! How sweet is that?
I love what you’re offering us! Superb! It’ll be my first pencil case i sewn! I gave it to my mum for her birthday even though it was my first product.
Cool giveaway. I’ll love to receive a handmade bag or something that i could use!
It’s adorable!
My favourite handmade item is a tiny christmas tree ornament made from clay, by a child. I’m not sure who gave it to me, but every year, when I put it out, I get the biggest smile at it’s bright colours and primitive shapes.
Thanks for a great giveaway! My favorite gift I ever made was a scrapbook for my Grandparents on their annual 4th of July party. I found my Grandpa looking over each page slowly and the look on his face just filled my heart with joy!
what a cute tree and a cute blog! my favorite handmade holiday treasure are 2 tiny stockings that were made by my granny. one is crocheted and the other is felt and hand whipstitched. i put them on my tree every year but this year they have special meaning as she just passed away oct. 31st.
My favorite holiday treasure is the angel I made for the top of my tree 22 years ago, she’s a little ragged now (but so am I) but I can’t imagine anything else on the top of the tree.
Thanks for the chance to win such a wonderful prize.
My favorite Christmas ornaments are made from an old quilt originally done by my great-grandmother. I could not save it in one piece so I cut and made ornaments out of it and then shared those with my daughter.
Nothing beats a handmade Christmas!
Sandy in NJ
Beautiful tree! I’ve added a link to your post on my blog as well:

Fun, what a nice tree! My very favorite handmade Christmas things are my stocking and ornament made by my grandma. They are matching pink angels — very special.
I would love to receive a handmade sweater that fits!
I would also love to knit a sweater for my granddaughter.
RJBmom7@aol.com
I love your little button tree, which coincidently is similar to my blog name. Please enter me into the draw. Thanks Jackie x
What a great tree–perfect for homes with little hands!
You are truly one of the coolest people I know.
My absolutely favorite handmade Christmas gift is actually more than one: every year from when I was born until I was 18, my grandma handmade me an ornament for the tree. I have anything from crocheted angels to cross stitched stockings. I have every single one still to this day. And, no matter what “theme” my tree is that year, the ornaments always make an appearance.
And I do not have a blog anymore to post about your giveaway. But I will tell everyone in the library about it.
My favorite handmade gift was someone who took our wedding invitation and framed it with some cute detail work around it. Thanks for the giveaway, I LOVE the tree. I might have to make my own!
I’m new here, and that tree is so cute! My favorite decoration is the hand painted ornament my mother gave my husband and I for our first Christmas. She included some of the aspects of our wedding which made it that much more special.
That tree is adorable! It would look so cute in my house! My favorite handmade gift was a coffee cozy my sister made me for my birthday. So fun…and she’s giving one away on her blog today too! Thanks for the giveaway.
I have a pacman with a santa hat I made when I was a kid!
That tree is awesome!
OH MAN!!!!! I have the perfect spot for that in the corner of my stairway. I can’t believe how easy you make it sound …. just creating these things on a whim. Well, my favorite handmade Christmas item is one I made when my children were quite small. It is a winter scene wall hanging made of applique on applique… Quite cute. My children still expect it to hang in the kitchen for Christmas when they come home, after 20 years!
i love the tree and im super curious what wonderful item you will make with that fabric! woot count me in!
Very cute tree!!!
I love the hand embroidered tablecloth given to me by my MIL. She embroidered it as a child and it holds a special place in my heart!

Congrats on your 100 blog posts! I love the tree, too!
I love that tree! Then I love whimsy so that’s right up my alley. Thanks for participating in Giveaway Day!
“but the plans in my brain are fabulous” oh, we are so alike!
This year all my gifts are handmade, except for my daughter’s first bicycle. I embroidered stockings for my parents and I think they are my favourite handmade gift this year.
That’s a really cute button tree!
Thanks for the giveaway!
My favorite treasure for the holidays is the paper decorations that my boys and I make every year. We hang snow flakes from the ceiling, and make paper chains as well as paper ornaments for our tree. Our home looks like a paper wonderland! And the memories are priceless.
Thanks for hosting the giveaway!
My favorite handmade gift is a little angel my daughter made for the tree at age two.It is made of a clothespin and a kleenex and I cry when I see it!
Favorite is when I make those silly snowflakes from coffee filters. I love them more than any adult ever should
Lovely giveaways!!
This year, I made homemade vanilla for everyone, made cute labels and am tucking the bottles in with a few other handmade items… so far, the vanilla is my favorite.
Very cute, by the way!
The tree is really cute, and my favorite handmade holiday decoration is an ornament that my great-grandmother made. It’s a foam ball completely covered by knitting. The stitches are tiny with little holly leaf details and the sphere shape is really cool. I don’t know how she did it.
I love that tree! My favorite handmade item (handmade by whom…I have no idea) is a wooden chimney sweep ornament that my parents brought back from Germany. It was my favorite as a little girl and still is. He always gets a front and center spot on the tree. Thank you!
mengels[at]hotmail[dot]com
Very cute! I wish we had a local Hobby Lobby, but they haven’t made it to Minnesota yet. So, we visit whenever we’re out of town somewhere. Some of my favorite handmade holiday items are the cross-stitched ornaments that my Grandma made for me when I was just a baby. Also, my mom kept all of the ornaments I made as a kid, and they hang on my tree now, which is pretty cool.
I got giddy when I saw that tree. So adorable.
My favorite handmade holiday treasure is the hand made star we make to put on the tree each year. It’s a fun family project.
seriously adorable tree! I’d love to win it

UntraditionalFairyGodmother[at]gmail[dot]com
super cute tree. i want it!
This is so wonderful!!
My favorite handmade present was a robe I made for my mom when she was going through surgery for breast cancer. I got a nice flannel material with pink ribbons on it with words like hope, love, peace, and survivor. She wears it all the time now too!
I received an apron made by my big sister. I can feel the love every time I put it on. Thanks for the great giveaway. I LOVE buttons.
My favorite handmade goodness this year is the tent playhouse I just made for my 3 year old. Check it out at my blog http://www.ellebelleblog.blogspot.com
first, your tree is beautiful! i’m always looking for ways to add to my christmas decor in a hand-made way. This year i’m gifting to my friends a sewn christmas felt mouse in a little mitten! i sewed them all out of felt, and inside the mitten i am also putting Kiehl’s lip gloss!
Love the tree! How adorable! My favorite handmade Christmas item has to be the HUGE stockings I made for my husband and I many years ago out of burlap and giant red ric rac. I saw a TV special where they made these and I had to have them.
The tree is so cute! I would love to win it and add some holiday cheer to my house. It’s so bare right now (we moved in this summer and still don’t have enough furniture or decorations!).
My favorite handmade item is a sweater my sister made for my newly-adopted daughter last year. It was so cute, and I loved how she put so many months of work into it while waiting for her new niece.
When I was a kid, my grandmother had a Christmas Tree plaque that hung on her way. My grandfather had purchased a giant box of old costume jewelry at a garage sale. It was gaudy and sparkly and very retro-chic style jewelry. He glued it all in the shape of a Christmas Tree on a piece of felt covered board and then drilled holes through the board and strung twinkly lights all over it. It doesn’t sound like much, but I knew that for my depression era grandparents, it was one of the most beautiful things they had for a very long time. I remember laying on the living room floor staring up and watching the lights twinkle off of all the fake gemstones. *sigh* Nostalgia just hit me big time!
I love Give Away Day! It’s my favoritest day EVER!
Well I would love to receive anything handmade from anyone! I am usually the one making things for others, so everyone probably thinks they shouldn’t bother making something for me because I could either make it myself or it wouldn’t be as good as something I could make. Not true! Family…friends….are you reading this?? lol!
Oh please enter me! My all time favourite gift was an ornament my son made in Kindergarten. His teacher was quite creative and the kids all made and painted glass balls. This ornament still gets the best spot on the tree and to this day, my son looks forward to us finding it to place on the tree.

I LOVE that blue material. So so lovely. The tree is adorable!!
kamyrensmiles@hotmail.com
My favorite gift was a cross-stitched ornament given to me by a lovely client. It had celtic knots and my initials, and was so pretty I hang it in my office year round instead of just on the tree once a year. I love your little tree and would be thrilled to display it at my home.
I blogged about your giveaway and added a link to the picture!
My favorite handmade holiday gift came from my aunt who is a seamstress. It was a harvest-themed table runner. Along with that, she made me a purple velvet stuffed eggplant (absolutely adorable) and a pumpkin out of different fabric patterns. I love it when fall rolls around so that I can decorate with them.
The tree is gorgeous, and if I don’t win I might just have to make one for myself! Thanks for participating in giveaway day and I look forward to seeing more of your blog.
Great giveaway! I love my childhood stocking that my mom made. It has sequences all over it. It’s a snowman scene.

My favorite handmade gifts to give are salt dough ornaments – they are a lot of fun to make and they get to be part of the recipient’s holidays for years to come.
Thank you for the contest!
Wow – I am so struck by your project. It’s just the sort of thing I envision at our house (it’s our first Christmas on our own). My favorite handmade gift was a stocking my mom made me years ago. Then two years ago, the two of us and my sister decided to update the stocking collection so spouses and everyone could have matching stockings. …my sister made mine backwards, so I stand out like a sore thumb!
Thanks for the chance at your beautiful tree.
Katie
This tree is so great! Think it would make a fun project to do with your kids too. My favorite handmade Christmas thing is this tree that my grandma had on her table and it was made out of jewelry and buttons. I’d stare at that thing for hours and always find something new in it!

What a great tree! I’d love to be entered in the giveaway.
I crocheted a scarf for my mom for the first time (I’ve been a selfish crafter, keeping a lot of things for myself). I’m satisfied with how it turned out.

Wow these look GREAT!!! I love the bright buttons, and the whole idea is gorgeous!

Go to my blog to see my post about this great idea! BTW, love the button tree and, of course, very intrigued about the materials.
Beautiful giveaway items! Here’s my favorite handmade holiday story: Last year I took up quilting and my husband kinda rolled his eyes (’not another hobby’). Then I surprised him on Christmas with a quilt made from his old rock concert t-shirts that his mother had secretly given me (picture here). He was so genuinely surprised, touched and thrilled. You just can’t get that from a store bought gift!
Happy holidays!
Spectacular!! And very generous. (I especially LOVE your advent calendar!!) My favorite handmade Christmas gift would HAVE to be the cypress deck chair my Daddy made for us the first Christmas that my husband and I were married. He intended it to be a piece of patio furniture. But since we didn’t have much furniture, it took its place in our living room
I am so glad that we didn’t put it outside as Daddy passed away shortly after that. I still have that chair. Always will.

Ooooh, a mystery giveaway thrown in, I love it! I love Hobby Lobby too, and they do coupons!

What a cute tree. My favorite handmade holiday treasure is a Christmas dress my mom made for me when I was 7th grade (gosh, almost 20 years now). She made it from an old velvet bridesmaids dress of hers because our family was on an extremely small budget. I cherished it then and cherish it now.
Thank you for the wonderful giveaway.

Hmm…. My mom made me a whole wardrobe for my Chrissy doll when I was little and it included a wedding dress! I’ll never forget that! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
Hiya! I think that tree is so fabulous! What whimsy fun! Um, one of my favorite crafty gifts I’ve received were from my bff who made me 2 fabulous bird print pictures. I just love them & everytime I see them I smile.
Thanks much!
I really like the tree, it’s super cute! I can’t wait to see what you’ve planned for the fabric!
So cute! I’d love to win!
I love your sweet button tree and the crafty surprise in the making. My most treasured holiday treasure is a little elf ornament (that was made in Japan in the 1960s) from a neighbor who has since passed away.
Thanks for the giveaway!

Gorgeous!
Oh, I’m totally with you on the hoarding – the more I like it, the more it gets hoarded. So silly…I’m working on using my stuff up, though. I used up some of my yarn stash with the hat that I made for this giveaway, and hopefully someday (soon?) I’ll use up my awesome fabric that I bought over a year ago with intent to use for a baby quilt (for my daughter, who is now almost a year old – yikes!). But I digress…my favorite holiday treasure…I would say our advent calendar, which was my DH’s when he was a kid.
My favorite homemade Christmas gift is the gingerbread ornament my daughter made for me last year. I thought it looked awesome for a four year old.
I LOVE that tree.

Super cute tree ~ favorite handmade item would probably be something I can’t make myself like goat milk soap or some yummy knitted item. Thanks for the generous giveaway!
I love the angel my mom made me for my bridal shower….it’s my favorite!! I love making polymer clay ornaments for my friends and family.

Wow, this is great! I would love it for myself, but I’m hoping to win it for my mother-in-law who has a collection of Christmas trees.
Thanks for the great giveaway, my most treasured Christmas decoration is my quilted advent calender made by my mum. That christmas tree looks fab!!
Aww that is the best christmas tree ever!
My fav holiday homemade item is the ornaments that my grandmother makes each year. We get a new one each year and I love them all!
That tree is so cute! My favorite handmade item for me is something i can’t make, but for others it is something sewn.:)
My favorite handmade gift was a quilt that my mom had made using fabrics of the dresses she made for me as a little girl.
Fave handmade gift (besides winning these?) … a scarf made by a good friend when I moved to Chicago and was freezing my you-know-what off.
I love the button tree.
My favorite handmade gift ever gotten was an ornament a student made for me.
What a cute tree! Thanks for being willing to give it away. I’m glad you’ll make another one for yourself.
My favorite handmade holiday treasure would be two snowmen made out of paint-stirrers that both of my kids made in pre-school when they were four. (They’re now in college, but those snowmen still come out of storage every year for display.)
One of my favorite Christmas treasures is a little slipper made from old Christmas cards and stitched together with love by my great grandmother. I put it under my tree every year to remind me of my family and the love they have given me through the years (and over multiple generations!).
Love it and wanna win it!!!
Hey, I am so happy to find you site through SMS–and happy to enter to win!! Some of my favorite Christmas treasures are the many crocheted and plastic canvas ornaments my great-grandmother made for me growing up. I’ve got ornaments of all kinds–but best of all are the 3 angels she made and set aside for my daughter (she was born in June and my great grandma died in September). I’ve got those angels put away until Emma gets old enough to really understand how special they are…maybe when she has her own tree in her own house many years in the future. What a beautiful Christmas treasure!
Hmmm…my favorite is a Christmas table topper my grandma crocheted.
Great Giveaway! Nice to meet you! You can see my giveaway here:

That tree is fabulous! I have just the place to put it in my house too.

I would love to receive anything handmade, they are always special!
I posted about your giveaway! Alltheprettyflowers.blogspot.com

I would love anything handmade. I don’t think many member of my family really appreciate what handmade means. It would mean a lot to me if they gave me something handmade (or thought of my shop for presents).
what a happy tree! my kids would love it…and next year, they should be old enough to make one..(if i remember about it)…im excited about handmade gifts this year, i am making everything….but the baby nephews are getting toys…im most excited about those.
The tree is very cute. I love all the homemae ornaments I made at school when I was a kid. I enjoy getting them out every year and hanging them up and rememberring my childhood.
What a lovely gift!
i have a set of plastic christmas plates that my kids made, they have their drawings on them… they always make me smile
My favorite handmade gift was an afghan my mom made for me about 10 years ago. She’s always been a crafter but usually gives her things away to other family members or friends. The year she gave me this afghan she made one for my brother and sister, too. It was a really special year.
My favorite handmade holiday thing are the ornaments my Mom made with my sister and I when we were little. There are a lot of them, some are stained glass, some are salt dough, and there’s even a few made from cork. My sister decided that she only likes color coordinated tree ornaments, so I ended up with all of them. Score!
Wow, adorable tree! And the fabrics for the mystery gift are so cute! My favorite homemade holiday gifts would have to be those cute reindeer candy cane ornaments….remind me of being a kid! You can tell I’m not too crafty, but I appreciate those who are!
your tree is adorable.
My fave handmade Christmas gift ever is a silk ribbon embroidered initial ornament that my sister made me. I’m so jealous of her talents!
The button tree is great! I love the handmade ornaments I have received from friends in the past. — Michele
Tree is SOOOOO cute! Love it! My favorite handmade gifts have been quilts that I have made for my sibling and their families. I try to do one per year as we draw names for gifts. Thanks for the giveaway!
The tree is gorgeous, as will be the extra goody you’re cooking up I’m sure! My favorite handmade Christmas gift was a little yarn and plastic canvas mailbox my grandma made for all of her grandkids. When she and my grandpa would come over for Christmas, they would stash a dollar (HUGE back then) in the mailbox. We would always be so shocked and elated to find it on Christmas. It was years before I knew that they put it there. I still have my mailbox, 30 years later, and have since made ones for my girls.
the tree is so cute…like the promise of the second item
So cute. Really! I love to make applsauce and cinnamon orniments, they are my fav handmade treasures. They smell so good and people seem to really love them!

I love that tree & you had great inspiration. I love Ali! My favorite handmade gift is a blanket from my grandma.
My favorite handmade holiday item is a paper mache ornament my mom made me – she painted a cat and a ballerina on it. I hang it on my tree every year.
What a cute Tree! CUTE!
Please count me in the give-away. I’ve added you to my blog and give you a “Shout Out” (dated Dec. 3rd.
I posted my favorite (to date could change tomorrow *lol*) Handmade treasure today as well (”Shout Outs & SnowGurl Ornie” post). It was for my swap partner for a Snowman swap! :O)
Love the tree!! My favorite Christmas gift is the advent calender that my mom made me.
Some of my favorite handmade holiday treasures are ornaments we made at my baby shower for my firstborn. The bodies of the ornaments were papermache shapes, and each guest decorated one for my daughter’s first Christmas. My great-aunts (two of my favorite people) have since passed away, but every Christmas I get to tell my oldest about how much they loved her when we hang those ornaments.
hurray for giveaway day!
your tree is too cute!
I’ve been looking for cute christmas decorations! So far my favorite handmade holiday item was just completed yesterday… a board on which is written “the stockings were hung” to hang our stockings because of the lack of fireplace! Happy holidays!
I have never gotten anything completely hand made. I would love this. THanks.
Wonderful giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win!
My favorite was a stained glass jewelry box taht my dad made for me when I was 10.

Great button tree! Love your twist on it!
My favorite handmade holiday items are the stockings I’ve made for my little ones.
Awesome! I want one!!
Eek — how exciting!
SO hard to nail it down to just one fave handmade Christmas gift. Ever since we reached adulthood, my Mom has made each of her children (all 7 of us) either a Santa or a quilt. There are definite some faves and some not-so-faves in there, but they are all just so special.
I’ll go though with the Santa in his nightshirt holding a candle and a mouse peaking out of his pocket. He is A.dorable.
This would be absolutely lovely to win and I hope I do because I think would flip!
Thanks so much for the chance too!
My favorite holiday treasure is my mom’s handmade tree top angel.
Thanks for the giveaway!
This tree is so adorable! I think my favorite holiday treasure is my Christmas stocking! We have a tradition in our family where everyone has a felt stocking and then it’s personalized with their names and “ornaments.” My grandma has made well over 150 of them by our calculations and my mom and I have done quite a lot of ornaments!
I am loving your tree! It would be perfect in my red living room for the holidays. Here’s hoping!
Cute tree!
My favorite handmade Christmas thing has to be a little reindeer made from a gourd.
The button tree is fab. I also love that patterned fabric, looking forward to seeing what you’ll make of it.
Thanks for joining give-away day!
I am making the kids all of their gifts this year. I am making dolls and clothes for them, felt food and pajamas. I am busy but am so excited to see their little faces.

love that tree! My favorite handmade gift was given to me by my grandmother. Throughout my childhood at Christmas she made me a doll each year. I still have every single one of those dolls saved and I love every single one of them! I even labeled them with the years on their rears! They’re a great treasure!
ooh, this is beautiful! our tree is in storage this year so i really hope to win! one of my favorite Christmas treasures is a set of 3 elf ornaments that my mom gave me from when she was a little girl. They’ve always been on my tree growing up, and now they are mine. thanks!

Love the tree! My favorite handmade Christmas treasure is an advent calendar that my good friend made for my family. It is gorgeous and the kids love to find treasures in it each day leading up to Christmas. It will be treasured in our family for years to come!
Oh, how I love your little tree! It is just about the cutest thing EVER! If I don’t win it, I’ll just have to try it out myself. Thanks for the inspiration. My favorite handmade gift is the first scarf my mom made me. She had just started knitting, and it’s made of this rather strange fuzzy black yarn with sequins. I wouldn’t wear it anymore, but I still have it, and I sure to love it – it’s the first handknit I ever received.
Thanks for the great give-away, and congrats on your 100 post!
I just love that button tree!! Each year some new that’s handmade is added to the tree…. This year I’m adding 11 Crazy quilt ornaments and 5 Christmas Dotee dolls made from ladies all over…My internet friends

We just bought a home so I don’t have a favorite because I don’t have anything but, we just bought a christmas tree and that is my new favorite.
That is really cute! I have a weakness for buttons! LOL! I’m curious to see what those lovely fabrics turn into!
Love that tree!!! Sure wish I knew what Hobby Lobby was.
Great work! This is my first Christmas trying to decorate my house and it’s going slow because I can’t find things I love. I definitely love your tree. One of my favorite handmade Christmas gifts has been a simple but beautiful heating pad. The kind full of rice that you heat in the microwave. This one has a gorgeous case to put the hot bag in, then you slip it in your bed to get your feet warm fast after the slipper to bare feet for sleeping transition.
Also, I wrote a quick post on my personal blog to advertise this giveaway so I’d love 5 chances to win! THANKS!

My favorite handmade ornament was made by my daughter at school. She made a frame with a picture of herself on it, LOL
what a great looking little tree, it would be perfect for a room that isn’t meant to have a tree!! It looks just lovely.
my most favourite handmade holiday thing is a blanket I made for my dad a couple of Christmases ago when he was ill. We lost him just after Christmas last year and I have the blanket back. It’s so warm that it just keeps giving me joy.
Merry Christmas
kelly o.
Cute tree! Love your craftiness.
*I’M* the oddball in my family and group of friends…it’s only me who makes the handmade treasures. My favorite-est treasures are the tree ornaments my grandmothers made aaaages ago. My mom & dad have them all and when I can spend Christmas with them I absolutely love unwrapping all the ornaments and finding the ones Grandma C & Mamaw made…especially the beaded star and the pine cone skiing elf!
My favorite hand made gift was when my son made me a batch of my favorite…peanut butter fudge. He’s a great cook….grin.
Love the tree.
That button tree is FAB!! Too cute! I’m also curious about what those things are going to become—LOL!!
Hugs & Blessings!
Wow.
I wanna enter.

My favorite handmade Christmas goodie was little felt heart ornaments made for me by my Grandmother… they were so tiny I used to wonder how she made them! I wish I still had them. :0(
My favorite handmade craft is a clay figurine one of my friends made me of three little snowmen. They sit on my desk at work and make it a little less boring.
This year I am planning on making everyone in my family homemade pajamas to wear to bed on Christmas eve. : ) (That is 8 total!) I better start soon! : ) Merry Christmas!
It’s corny, but my favourite holiday treasure to give or receive is definitely time with my family. Christmas is all about family to me!

Favorite handmade Christmas gift. Anything my kids made when they were little. I can still see those tiny hands working away. I love the name of you blog.
Probably the best Christmas treasure was a couple of years ago when I figured out how to do an amigurmi snowman. This was before amigurmi was the totally hot thing.
My favorite holiday handmade treasure is something I made when I was little. I made a crocheted angel doorknob hanger and I absolutely love her! Every time I see her, I remember the good feelings associated with making her and I’m delighted to see how well she came out!
How cute! You’re very talented!
WOW, there are a lot of comments here. thanks for sharing. Jeanne
Those look great!
I think the handmade presents I was most proud of in years past were the matching pajamas I made for everyone in my family. This year I’m handmaking everything I’m giving.
This is just so much fun seeing all these “new to me” blogs!!
I love the button tree! My favorite handmade gift was a set of hand knitted dishcloths that I use all the time.
I love a handmade needle case that I got a couple of years ago on a british quilting list. Only my mum was crafty and since she has past away I have no other crafty family members to gift me lovely handmade treasures, so I joined a quilt list and did the Christmas swap
