My husband and I recently got kittens, too! I can totally relate to the early morning licking and biting of the face. Also, I think that when they sleep during the day or want to cuddle, it is like a disease for the human owners; we can't get anything else done except cuddling with the kitties! My mom is a couch sleeper too and so is David. I am "it doesn't matter I fall asleep-er" for the most part. Your kitty is so cute.
