Our Thanksgiving Weekend….
Nov 27th, 2007 by Sandy
Okay, so there were really only two exciting things that happened over Thanksgiving amongst a ton of stuff that we were supposed to be doing, but we chose to ignore.
First, I cooked up a storm. I pretty much cooked for two days straight, and I must say. I am pretty proud of myself. Everything turned out great, and it was a lot of fun. Here the the cinnamon rolls I made! I got the recipe from The Pioneer Woman Cooks, and they are amazing.
Actually, we made a few things from her site, and they were all amazing. I am in awe of the fact that she doesn’t weigh one million pounds with as much butter as she uses though!
The second thing that happened was that the dogs got a little rambunctious in the backyard, and Cleo’s ear got scratched pretty badly. And, for any of you that have ever experienced a bleeding dog ear before, you know that they bleed a huge amount! And, because we were good parents and never get our dogs’ ears cropped, they both love to shake their heads, which Cleo did, all over the house.
We were joking that we really hope that we never have the need for any crime scene analysis in our house (yes, we do watch too much CSI) because they would think that we had murdered someone and tried to cover up the evidence. However, after a quick call to the vet, we found out that our inclination for the little headdress below was correct.
Now, there are three possibilities running around our heads when we see this image. First, we were interested to find out that Cleo is actually a blood. Next, we think that she looks ready to go out for a quick swim around the pool. But finally, and our favorite, she looks as if she is a Russian grandmother. Oh, look at that Babushka!

Yumma Yum!!! Were it not for the nasty stomach virus I have right now, I’d be licking the screen for some of those cinnamon rolls!!! And I love the little Russian Grandmother! Too funny!
I’m glad you had a fantastic T-Day, we did as well, though I missed some of those Black Friday shenanigans. Have a wonderful day, and I’ll chat soon!
