recognizing the test…

This week has been an adventure!  Some rough days, but mostly because I am not feeling good.  However, through all of it, I recognized the advice I give my students about college.

For those of you who don’t know, Joe has a black belt in Karate.  And, he has a video tape of the test he took to earn his belt.  On the tape, which I won’t watch (don’t need to see my husband get hurt!), he is in a ring with five guys.  What I realized about this experience is that his teachers didn’t expect him to win this fight in order to pass the test.  Instead, they expected him not to give up.

College is much the same way!  Teachers don’t buycbdproducts you to win with every test or assignment; you just can’t give up.  And, this week, I realized that motherhood is the same way!  There will be good days and bad days.  I just need to keep moving forward and understand that it most likely it will change tomorrow in good and bad ways.

So, that was my lesson for this week. But, because I know that you all are really just after the pictures, I thought that I would show you the many faces of Cade I see throughout the day!  I took all these pictures with my iPhone, which is sadly the camera I most often have with me.  And, using the awesome app that Lisa Leonard talked about on her blog yesterday, they are all like old school polariods!  Love it!  Easily my favorite app!

Sandy, it sure is funny how life’s simple lessons/tests can relate to other areas of your life. It’s great that you learned that one early. Here’s hoping that you have many more good days than bad. Cade is a very beautiful baby and the three of you are a beautiful family.

I’m not sure which picture is my favorite, the upper left hand corner, or the lower right hand corner. Or the upper middle. Or the middle middle! That kid is stinkin’ cute. Miss you guys and I hope you’re feeling better, or that you get to a point very soon where you start to feel better! Love and squeezes!

Yup…it’s all about the pictures.:-) I love the crinkly eyebrow one. Have you seen any ear wiggling yet?

    You’re doing GREAT!!:-)

The eyebrow thing is hereditary. Comes through his dad’s side, via mamaw.
